Hearts in Hands relies solely on volunteers to serve those in our community who need it most!
Project Leaders: We need leaders of small teams to coordinate the construction of wheelchair ramps for disabled clients. Volunteer teams typically meet on Saturday for a half day project. A potential leader should be able to sketch out the ramp installation and determine materials needed.
Handymen: We need men and women who are gifted at performing small household repairs in teams of two or three people. A potential handyman would need to have his own tools and be willing to work 3-4 weekdays per month on small projects. Materials will be provided. This person would need to really enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life.
Roof Repair: We need individuals who will work in teams of two or three people to patch roof leaks. A potential volunteer would need to have his own ladder and tools. Materials will be provided.
Client Relations Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to help elderly and disabled clients with various household and transportation needs, especially to doctor’s appointments.
New volunteers will be contacted to discuss our current needs and be assigned to work with another volunteer.
